Sydney - SYD

We flew out of Sydney to Cairns and used Virgin Australia. The staff was friendly and helpful at the airport. We had breakfast at the airport at MoVida. I recommend their croissants, omelet with chorizo, Catalan bread, and if you have the appetite, their El Grande breakfast won’t disappoint.

Overall, an average, busy airport with nothing special about it.

Cairns - CNS

Cairns airport is a small airport, and it took us less than 20 minutes from the car drop off till the gate. Since it is such a small airport, it was extremely easy to navigate. After enjoying some beer, beverages, and chicken wings, we boarded the flight to Brisbane.

Overall, a small, homey airport that is clean and convenient.

Brisbane - BNE

When we landed, we went to a restaurant named Mezzi Zaza. I t was below average Lebanese take-away food that was definitely not worth the money at all. However, we couldn't explore the airport fully as it was Christmas Eve evening.

Overall, a beautiful, large airport with average food and amenities.

Virgin Australia

This airline is definitely one of the better airlines in Australia. Virgin Australia's staff is extremely helpful and complimentary water, tea, and coffee is provided even on 2 hour domestic flights. The planes are large and the pilots are excellent. However, this all comes at a relatively high price.

Overall, a wonderful airline to use travel within Australia if you're traveling with a high budget.
